The Gently Tree

The Gently Tree

A Poem by Richard Guimond
"

Wise old tree

"

The Gently Tree

I went to talked to the Gently Tree
''Stand still, look and see''
Wonders all around thee
The Gently Tree said to me

''Magic to feel, and to see
Yes magic, all around thee''
The Gently Tree said to me

How deep rooted, was he
''True freedom is to let it be''
The Gently Tree said to me

''I'm old but strong so you see'
Wisdom made me forever free
So I stood still, to watch and see''
As the Gently Tree had said to me
