Merzhin

A Poem by Richard Guimond
"

The arthurian Merlin seen thru celtic eyes

"

Merzhin

Of Artus deeds and the quest for the ''Sangre Real''

Chretien of Troy, Mallory, great distortions, made

Propaganda for Saint Peters's, Rome's dominion

Over the rule of Jerusalem, by Great Crusade.

But in these days of Quantum and Nanotics

There're still people remembering the ol' tales

The Gaels of Ty Breiz got memories of long,

Of Singular character poet and prophet

Merzhin was the name, in ancient Briton songs

For Christian scholars, Merlin was he, of fame

Borne from the devil, of magic, a sorcerer

But for pagans, Druid with tomorrow's memory

A seer, a Druid, son's of Kernunos, the Horned Ones

A mage, brother of the Fae, the last of his kin
