Do yourself a favor and look into the basics of poetry. Tossing a rhyming line into each stanza, while ignoring all else that's necessary to write structured poetry can't work.

You're talking TO the reader. That's a nonfiction approach. It informs, and lectures a reader who's not been made to care. basically, you're saying, "I believe this, and I like that...you would should be more like me." But that doesn't, and never has worked because there's no hook. just a rant.

But poetry makes people care, not know. It makes them feel, something a lecture can't do.

There's no reason you can't learn to make that work for you, but you must drop the "Listen up, I have an announcement" approach.
