Addiction

Addiction

A Poem by Richard Bachman

You know I would

Never hurt you

When I am in my mood

My head splitting and brain melting

When I am beating on myself

And beating on you

When I need my fix,

Pounding the walls and drowning

Out those sounds

I hear,

Like revolting shipmates

In my ears

Cutting and scream

Won’t you please listen?

I am falling

Into myself again, and

I cannot escape

Until, yes,

I will hit the bottom

Taking you will

Me down to the floor

You know I would

Never hurt you, right?

About
I'm a Freshman at The University of Arizona. I'm a pre-pharD student, and I figured I'd share some of my writings. I'm interested in classics and poetry. My favorite poet is Sylvia Plath, but I don't.. more..
