Free SpiritA Poem by Solitary TravelerWhat do you do when your closest companion is gone. You remember.
How do I describe her
What is there I can say That tells you how I feel about her each and every day. She came to me so very young She looked to me for care I did my best to guide and protect her We had a life to share. But now she no longer needs me to help her along the way She's taken steps ahead of me What more is there to say. My Tara was the best of friends a soul I won't forget She's buried deep inside of me A place where few can get. At seventeen we parted way. I said it was okay. I know I'll see her once again, That's all that I can say. Across that rainbow bridge she's gone To run and romp and play And some day when my time has come She'll help me see the way. For now my pet, you'll run alone Although you'll never be Outside my thoughts,. my mind, my heart you're forever part of me. {I} In Memory of Tara Sirius, January 2, 1987-October 13, 2003 Siberian Husky pet of 17 years, My closest friend.{/I} © 2012 Solitary TravelerReviews
