Dreaming

Dreaming

A Poem by Richard Helbert

i dreamed a dream that set me free,
it released the pain and the hurt,
it all seemed so real, so sincere,
until I woke up.

It made me realize that reality,
is not much different than a dream,
except that the escape of waking,
is not an option.

The only escape we have is sleep,
Just a temporary interlude,
of sanity and pure thought,
and in a split second,
the alarm is going off,
and reality must be dealt with,
once more

I like it. I've definitely had similar thoughts on dreaming. I love the part where it says "the escape of waking is not an option". Great work
