Paths CrossA Poem by DlopezThe unknown paths we begin can have very important endings if we choose to have faith and continue on them.
He looks at the clouded sky, eyes wondering.
The droplets of rain run across his skin and soak his brow. His shoes hit the cobbled ground as he wonders What has put him on this path so far from home? He thinks of his family as he puts his faith in Him. Eyes looking toward a distant moment in the future. She looks at the dotted ceiling, eyes wondering. Droplets of sweat bend across her skin, soak her brow. The gurney's wheels hit the floor as she wonders What has she done to be put so far from home? She thinks of her family as she puts her faith in Him. Eyes looking toward a moment soon to come. He walks through the double doors of the room, his hands feeling clean but nervous beside him. He is in a room, with people who he does not know. He closes his eyes and prays for guidance. Alan Greenwald, be calm. She is wheeled through the double doors of the room, her hands feeling sweaty beside her. She is in a brightly lit room, with people who she does not know. She closes her eyes and prays for serenity. Gloria Pineda, be healed. The operation is over, healing can begin. Post operation, Gloria thanks Alan. They embrace and thank God that they put faith in the paths they traveled so that their destinies could meet.
