The Endless Night

The Endless Night

A Poem by RicRaw
"

A poem that was inspired by insomnia, without sleep sometimes it seems like the night is endless. When a depressed mind is left to think in the quiet darkness a dark creative side is left to run wild.

"
The day manifests
From the noon into dusk
Then the darkness descends
Unbeknown the endless night begins

Dark shrouds the earth
With piercing blackness
Creeping into every crevas
A normal spectacle most times
But this night the darkness does not disperse

In the morrow
When the usual battle of day and night
The battle turning black into bright
The dawn of this battle does not come
The endless darkness has begun

The once bright earth
Has become the dark world
Life that once flourished
Has withered away with the light
The endless darkness continues
For infinite everness
And what once was
Is erased with the darkness
