JoyA Poem by Val DohrenTo feel the sun upon my face The dew beneath my feet The soft and gentle summer breeze Her perfume oh so sweet And winter`s chill to complement The scorching summer`s heat With raindrops dancing on my hands The trickling rambling stream That glints below the shining sun Like diamonds as they gleam And then a spread of bluebells `neath A brightly spanned sunbeam So sing sweet bird upon the bough And joyous be your song To fill my heart with pure delight Amidst the daily throng Such joys as these can e`r be found For all the day is long © 2012 Val Dohren |
