SilenceA Poem by L. C. RhodesOne of the first poems I ever wrote. The third that I recorded in my notebook. You might get a kick out of it.thrumming, pounding, humming, howling, an insane language, born from your own mind. Silence. biting, crunching, snapping, snarling, don't you hear, the words they're speaking? Silence. grinding, rasping, choking, gasping, in the darkness, pull back the curtain. Silence. burning, churning, clawing, scratching, eyes that glitter, in cruel moonlight. Silence. sweating, shaking, crying, dying, ignite the light, find the empty room. Silence.
