Tomorrow

Tomorrow

A Poem by L. C. Rhodes
"

A most excellent road trip to nowhere.

"

I’m going to Tomorrow,

And you better come on too.

We’re so stuck on today,

And recalling yesterday,

That Tomorrow never comes.

So leave out now!

Let’s beat the traffic,

Grab some breadcrumbs, just in case,

Take your GPS, your map.

We’ll lose ourselves,

While looking for Tomorrow.

How to get there?

To that place they call ‘Tomorrow’?

Should we take a plane,

Board a train,

Or rent that car?

Though our way disappears,

Don’t you worry none, my dear.

We still will have fun,

Going on together,

And getting to Tomorrow.

Sometimes, we are too busy trying to get where we are going to enjoy the now. Great poem.

It's all about the journey, isn't it?

This poem has a sweetness about it that appeals to the small shred of kid that remains in me. I like the breadcrumb line, I use all the time when I'm lost in a maze of corridors. The line, not the actual crumbs.
