Containment

Containment

A Poem by Tommy Naclerio

a ghost city holds no people

except soldiers who fight for sides

the main attraction is a nuclear tanker centering it all

which will send a shockwave if called,

luckily we still have the bridge-

we still have hotels, destroyed churches too

have beaten diners and bars more than people who lived there

apartments, broken glass and concrete ready to tear

maybe the ‘bomb’ already went off in god knows where
