In the Night, Then the Day

In the Night, Then the Day

A Poem by Joe
"

a poem about some s**t I'm going through.

"
The pain is strong
As night comes along.
With it, once bright memories
Now turn pale;
Once my heaven,
Now my Hell.

No words to say
My deep pain.
Talk and talk 'till I grow hoarse
And still no words come close.

The night is a pit
Where I dwell in agony.
Alone forever it seems
With, now, nightmares
That once were dreams.

To die would be peace,
To end, to cease.
But, now, what's this?

I start to feel a little strong
As day comes along.
The night's horrors and agonies recede.

Pale isn't bright,
Hell isn't heaven,
Nor nightmares dreams,
But they are beneath,
So it seems.

They are buried under day,
Hours of work and hours of play.
They are down, now, deep.
Only until, though, the sun goes to sleep.

I love this, it makes you think about the placement of things I suppose. I imagine myself seeing the change from this night time world to the daytime, Amazing read overall.
