And Years to ComeA Poem by JoeA Post-Apocalyptic poem
They are all around Every hellspawn hound. They scratch and bite at my door. Every night they come, At dawns break they go. All through the night my children cry and moan. I want to go out there And end it all. Stop their constant attack. Make them leave my home. I know, however, They won't stop. They'll come and come and come. So we sit By lantern light And wait for the sun to come again For days And months And years to come.
