Life you gave, yet fear you bredA Poem by Rhine Wolfone of my older pieces
From deep within it surges
Filling the emptiness with dread and fear
You are nearly here, of this I am sure
The key against the gate I can hear
My heart races, I brake into a cold sweat.
My legs start to tremble, my hands start to shake
It is getting hard to breath, to even take a breath,
The front door opens, how much more can I take.
I can not breath, I dare not stand.
At my desk I sit, home work papers I shuffle
You look into my room and grunt to my existence
Should you see my fear, you would only chuckle.
From deep with in it surges
Filling the emptiness, where love should live
Hold me close or do you fight the urges
Don’t you see, all to you I would give?
