Small town secretA Poem by Rhine Wolf
It happened so long ago, in this small town
Mother, Father a brother and sister you see
That no one remembers really, what’s true
They where little then and happy as could be
Then their world shattered one fate full night
When they where hi-jacked in their drive way
It all happened in slow motion in their eyes,
Then Mommy & Daddy on the ground they lay
The welfare come that night and toke them away
It was three years to the day came their Aunt May
What happened to them, they would never say
Asking about them, wanting to give them a home to stay
She found them at last but the damage was done
The little boy was in a wheelchair, and had a distant stare
The little girl had been used and money was made
The Aunt wept, for the year of pain, and not being there
