A baby boy so strong

A baby boy so strong

A Poem by Rhine Wolf
"

to lose a child....

"

It is with a heavy heart I must tell
Of a baby boy who is not well
And of the many tears that fell

So eager into our world he did come
Even though it was 2 months before his time

The doctors gave little hope
That the baby boy would cope
But fight he did and gave all hope

The baby boy they could not touch
So fragile his body, they could not handle much

For 16 days he did fight
Putting his Mommy worries to flight
Hoping for the best with all their might

The baby boy was so strong
And held on for so long

They all say, he did so well
Sadly today, Andre said farewell
Leaving behind broken hearts I can tell

All I ask, please a candle to light
So his path to Heaven will be bright!

Author's Note

Rhine Wolf
This was written for the cousin of a work colleague of my wifes. After her baby was born premature, dew to her waters drying up and being forced to give birth to her baby. The doctors did not really see the point and advised the parents to rather abort the pregnancy as the chance of the baby surviving was extremely slim. For the parents, this was their last chance at having another child and the fact that there was a chance, granted a slim one, of their baby surviving. So against all odds Andre was born and held on for 16 days before his little body could no more and he passed on.

Our prayers go out to Andres family.

God Bless Andre & his Family.
I'd guess that he was loved as much as
anyone could be loved in 16 days.
I am reminded of my lost children;
gone before birth. Not any easier to deal with.
I often wonder why babies are born; only to die.
Just doesn't make any kind of sense to me.
Nine months of anticipation; growing new life.
(if blessed to do so, full term)
At least infant Andre was wanted & loved!
For too many are not. Makes me weep.

Beautiful tribute you have composed!! I've lit a candle and said a prayer for Andre's save passage and for peace to come to his family.

My prayers go out to this family, how hard this must of been for them. Such a sad poem, brought many tears, but he is now in heaven awaiting his parents who will one day reunite with him. God Bless, P.W.
