Tiny feet in my mind

Tiny feet in my mind

A Poem by Rhine Wolf
"

To see your life through the bottom of a bottle has some dire consequences.

"

Rain drops on a thatch
Here I lay in the dead of night
Fighting the rage, driving it from my sight
Shall I win or am I distended to lose.

Tiny feet run through my mind
Please run from me to be kind
May I see you one more time even from behind.

Little voice whispers to my soul
“Daddy I love, don’t let the drink take is toll”
The road is long and wet, please watch for the poll

The lights are bright and the music is loud
As I look down on your face, you make me so proud.
How could it be that I missed the trucks sound

The road is long and wet,
Why do you warn me now when it is all to late
How can I see you again, do I have to join the dead?

I love you, my life, my wife
But the look on your face cuts like a knife.
How can you forgive me for taking our Child's life?

This is so full of emotion and strife...
I don't know what I would do if we had to lose one of our babies.
Very well written, and if it saves even just one life....

I like the poem's self-styled-ness. There is a lot of emotion displayed and I like that. So sad...but

nicely written!

OMG< so powerful and sad! I had an alcoholic father so the words hit home. I hope this is not from personal experience. Thanks for sharing.
