Steps to Your Undoing

Another one on Anger.

 

Never let the blanket of anger,

Cover your eyes from the world around

Never let it creep into your soul

It will dig in & create a deep hole

 

From the deep hole with in,

All your pain will begin,

Festering, chipping away at your soul

Breaking the cords that make you whole.

 

The strings of your being shall whither.

Making you old and bitter

Creating within you, sorrow

Making you fear to face tomorrow

 

With Anger you will find,

All your Pain will be inside

And only sorrow you will find

Then Death you won’t mind

Author's Note

How many times in our lives do we let anger get the better of us? How far will we let it go before we realize the damage we do onto others?

A sad reality that few realize in time.

This is very well written with meter and the lines are equally, depthfully thought
out I mixure of prose and poetry to create a perfect balance of form and wording,
the meaning strikes a nerve and I'm sure every reader could find something in your
words to identify with, very nice depth, flow and imagery, this is an awsome poem.
