Keys of my Temple

Keys of my Temple

A Poem by Rhine Wolf
"

The golden key, are we not all looking for that elusive key that will unlock all our deepest desires?

"

Look into the windows of my soul

They were once so clear and bright

The weight of the world has taken it toll

Driven from me all the beautiful light

I find myself lost to the shadow

Wondering in the mist of my own darkness

I feel abandoned, cast aside and hollow

My temple is empty devoid of love, lifeless

Once this temple had life, endless love

In the corner there, that room held the light

Behind this door pleasure, that one joy

Now the keys are lost, as if they taken flight

Finally I see a crack, a slither

The glimmer of a promise once told

Is that you my old friend with you gentle touch?

Have you come to for fill that promise of old?

Have you come to place you hands on me?

Have you come to lift this mortal coil?

Have you come to lead me to Hades?

What is this? Could it be? Am I free?

In your hand you hold the golden Key!
