Reflection of my time

Reflection of my time

A Poem by Rhine Wolf
"

On the day of my birthday I came to relies that there is so many new years celebrated around the world and as this was the day that I started my journey on this earth, why could this not be my new year. A chance to look at my past, remember it, put it beh

"

As I flip through the pages of my life

The binding is old but the pages are new

They are tattered and worn, well used

As I turn a page the words play out their story

They evoke the images as though in a film

They run through my life one scene at a time

I suppress a giggle here, laughing out loud there

My eyes flood, as I wipe away a tear of regret,

And then letting them fall, in memory of that lost friend

I smile as I revisit the birth of my children,

Feel my heart pain as I stand at the death beds of my grandparents

So many memories, so much love, joy, fear, sorrow, pleasure….

Finally I turn the last page, the next is blank, an empty canvas

With pen in hand, I start to ink out the first day of my new year

You see today it MY new beginning, today is my birth day!

Today is the tomorrow we worried about yesterday , and all is well. So the saying goes. Slainte my love and may everyday be just as full of oppurtunity and blessings as the last. The canvas is yours and you are a brilliant artist so draw away my love!!

I really like this one, I look at tomorrow as a blank canvas, you hold the colors to paint what ever you want to on it... great work

Well penned journey down yesteryear's path, with pen in hand, ready to embrace the roads ahead, leading to tomorrow - Everyday is the first day of the rest of our life - a blank canvas - just waiting...

Nicely done...
