Lives

Lives

A Poem by Rhiannon Dragonraine

Troubled youth

With a Maudlin Muse

distraught with life

even thought they only see

the little corner in which they live.

Struggling Sister

Steadfast and Strong

sinking in the mired soil:

the world in which she lives

yet still seeking out the sublime

Lonely Man

fighting a comfortless disease

Each night he calls to Death

"Take me before the morning light!"

Each morning finds him again

facing the world in which he lives

Honorable Warrior

distracted by distance

attending his duty

aching to see his love again

she is the world in which he lives.

Lone Lady in Waiting

isolated from her heart

surrounded by friends and family

waiting for his return

wtih bated breath she experiences

the world in which she lives.

Complicated Populace

going through each day

making memories; making connections

striving to survive

in this world in which we live

Simply sharing each others lives.
