Hunt x Seek

I’ve been searching,

There’s a part of me that’s lacking,

I don’t know what I lost

I’ll try to find it at all cost.

Thinking deep about it,

I felt lost.

Without knowing where to begin,

I always have to start again.

Seeking on emptiness,

Trying to reach the light.

Want to see something bright,

That’ll lead me to happiness.

As the darkness was destroyed,

The beautiful sun appeared,

I knew my quest had come to an end,

My other half was found: a friend.

I'll try to find it at all cost-->at any cost (as of now, this is grammatically incorrect since 'cost' should be plural, but it doesn't really matter since it's a poem)

I love the simplicity of the way you convey your messages and the way you close your poems. You described the feeling of loneliness one might suffer from from not having a friend or feeling unaccepted, comparing it to darkness and searching for a light. And you depicted the moment of finding a friend well, too, as if it is like a new dawn. Well done, and it's nice to find a poem about platonic friendship as opposed to romantic love once in a while : )
