Women's Union

Women's Union

A Poem by Rhia Barton
"

Based primarily on the women's war effort during World War II but this can certainly be applied to any contemporary war.

"
Bang, Bang, Bang,
We soldier on, on, on
Work, work, work,
Our men are gone, gone, gone

Boom, boom, boom,
The bombs are dropped, dropped, dropped
Fix, fix, fix,
We can’t be stopped, stopped, stopped

Smash, smash, smash,
Brutish thugs fight, fight, fight
Sweat, sweat, sweat
Fake soldiers with no might, might, might

Pow, pow, pow,
The ballistics fall, fall, fall
Wait, wait, wait,
Union is one, union is all

Very well written the sounding words recreates the imagery of chaos! During war many men lost their lives. Where the country was left behind to the hands of Women. Who helped bringing back peace to the country again. Lovin' this poetry Rhia Thurman
