SOMEONE SAVED ME

SOMEONE SAVED ME

A Poem by Rhea Jane Bacus
"

This poem I wrote is based on my personal experience. Surely those who suffered from Mental Issues or emotional problems can relate.

"
I was about to sleep,
But my thoughts gone deep.
I got stuck in the dark,
But no one heard my inner bark.
The noise there is so loud,
All around, emptiness is found.
My thought goes deeper,
Like the tide of an ocean, that gets higher and Higher;
They were in my nerves, they crawl over,
I asked, Why they're making loud laughter.
I remember, the dark and worst nightmare,
The inner demons was playing with my hair,
I pushed them away, but they stayed and continue to care
I'm seeking for help, I'm seeking someone to dare.
The last moment I cried was my first time to smile,
They began to go away, and travel thousands of mile,
I knew it was not a lie,
It feels love, that pushes me high.
I found myself, I feel so warm
I began to move, I am free from harm,
It's over! My worst nightmare is over.
The empty cup is already filled with water.
I found my strength,
and mold my weakness.
It made my mind firm,
and my heart fearless.
I bended my knees and thank Him above,
for he gave me the man who saved me...and filled me with love.

This is very strong and emotion filled. Puts the reader into the mind of those who suffer from mental illness. Having gone through it myself I recognize these signs. Thank you for sharing your work.
