Cottage of LifeA Poem by Rheia
A beautiful wooden cottage
Perched on the mountains edge Overlooking a sea of blue and green Dotted with white and grey A house that there once lived A family of three That loved and cherished Every corner, wall and scar With a garden of magnificent display Bright flowers, vegetables and fruit Small and big birds alike Taking up every spot on the scarecrow Now those flowers are welting Vegetables and fruit left to rot And not a single bird in sight Only a pile of sticks and hay Where the scarecrow once was Now, looking through a window There is simply no pane at all Glass has shattered Scattered all over the floor Dust on every surface An old smashed piano Pushed into a corner Only two legs for support A pile of ripped photographs Next to it, three piles of dust The worst sight of them all.
