The Scottish WindA Poem by Mariah JaneT'was Long
ago, mi 'ert was stol'n away, By the
bonnie lass with copper in 'er 'air She was
sweet, a 'ert of purest gold, A sweet
young lass, a 'ert of finest Gold The
Scottish Wind blows softly to the sea The
Scottish Wind calls mi 'ert away Twas there
I lost mi 'ert to that young lass, The
Scottish wind bears mi 'ert away. Mi lovely lass,
with copper in 'er 'air, had many
dreams to sail the open sea. She loved
the wind, the salty air, Mi bonnie
lass, with copper in 'er 'air. The
Scottish Wind blows softly to the Sea The
Scottish wind calls mi 'ert away. Twas there
I lost mi 'ert to that young lass, The
Scottish Wind bears mi 'ert away. 'Ow mi 'ert
greaves that one day, The day the
Lord took mi lass away. Now I sail
the oceans wide, And breathe
the air, just mi Lord and I. The
Scottish Wind blows softly to the Sea. The
Scottish Wind calls mi 'ert away. Twas there
I lost mi 'ert to that young lass, The
Scottish Wind bears mi 'ert away. © 2011 Mariah JaneFeatured Review
