Shark Man and The Jungle BunchA Poem by KatarinaI got the idea from a scene in my dream last night. Shark man dwells by the playground For he dwells by the playground, His friends cavorting about on the jungle above Scuba man all slippery and sly keeps his eyes to the sky eyeing you with a glance he can tell you where you're from and if you'll ever be coming back The cat lady with her dreads all curled and atop her head sings like a banshee the goddess of the dead; she wants me in her arms All his friends laugh and bite sing me my worries and my frights they dance to my cries; ones with the formidable ocean Shark man dwells by the playground Sharp and smart and keen. For he dwells by the playground, © 2013 Katarina |
