Shark Man and The Jungle Bunch

Shark Man and The Jungle Bunch

A Poem by Katarina
"

I got the idea from a scene in my dream last night.

"

   Shark man dwells by the playground
Sharp and smart and keen.
Once astray you've got to play,
Unless you're smart and sharp as he.

For he dwells by the playground,
In deep waters.

   His friends cavorting about on the jungle above
They like to cheat,
Almost as sharp as he.

With wild beastly eyes
And sharp beastly teeth
Not fit for your eyes to seek;

 Scuba man all slippery and sly

   keeps his eyes to the sky

  eyeing you with a glance

he can tell you where you're from

  and if you'll ever be coming back

The cat lady with her dreads

   all curled and atop her head

sings like a banshee

   the goddess of the dead;

she wants me in her arms

All his friends laugh and bite

   sing me my worries and my frights

they dance to my cries;

ones with the formidable ocean

  Shark man dwells by the playground

Sharp and smart and keen.
Once astray you've got to play,
Unless you're smart and sharp as he.

For he dwells by the playground,
In deep waters.
