Consume Me

Consume Me

A Poem by Eli Lane

Once, I still heard the music of my people. I still had dreams of us turning animal and consuming either ourselves or those around us.

We were bears. Dogs. Rampant runs. Ultimate joy. You pull your tongue across my forhead.

How can I pull myself together after the real world?
