I Love Rhyme.

I Love Rhyme.

A Poem by Rew

I do love rhyme the way it curves
words like star's mass makes spacetime swerve
from flat lines to lead light round bends
so too a poem's rhymes sense sends
lines back on themselves not like terse

Grumpy prose's dead ended words
pretending measured tread would serve
instead of rhyme? Man's ancient friend?
I do love rhyme.

From fossiled days as woman birthed
man's tribe her heartbeat's music served
to soothe wild breasts, till beats could wend
round minds, with seashell sounds, thus penned
man learned from woman's heart, his verse
I do love rhyme...

I try to write a story using a fixed form as vehicle. For example Villanelles & Ballades. I try to keep away from the angsty/maudlin/stuff. But, if my work doesn't suit you then, please, pass .. more..
