Oh how the wolves howl, how the eagles fly, Mother Nature has been too kind. Life is more than just spending time. We craft baskets and make fire. Tonight we dine in moonlights shimmer.  Morry: That was beautiful Billo. You have such a way with words. Morry and I ate together near the fire we could see Luggo with his mother and father a ways back. Morry: You’re a good hunter Billo and a great cook too. Billo: I appreciate that Morry it wasn’t easy getting the sloth almost I died. Morry: Oh my strong hunter is so brave and fearless. Right after she said that she gave me a kiss. It was a clear night the moon was out in all its glory. Tribe’s men danced around the fire chanting words of old. We ate the sloth and tomorrow I was to help Morry craft a new blanket. Morry: It’s almost the coming of age for you Billo. I know Morry.  Morry: Are you scared? Billo:  Why would I be? I hunt giant animals how can the next phase of my life could not be any more dangerous. Morry: You are right you have nothing to fear. The night went on. Morry and I went to my grandmother’s space to see if she would like some sloth. Billo: Grandma! I went inside the space to give her some sloth meat. She appeared to be sleeping in her hammock. I gave her a slight pat. Billo: Grandma Grandma wake up please. Her body was unconscious she wasn’t breathing at all. I dropped the food and began to sob. Morry came in and wrapped her arms around me. Her presence felt good. Morry: How can this have happen? The tribal leader heard us. He came in and said she died of old age, she lived very long Billo it was her time. I continued sobbing for another minute. Two men came inside and took her body away wrapped up in the hammock. Billo: She was everything to me. Morry: Billo It will be alright. You have me your sister and Luggo. We will make sure you are not alone in this world.

The night was cold Morry had stayed in the same space with my sister and I. It made me feel better about my grandmother’s death. I did not want to live any more the sadness that was inside me was unbearable. I couldn’t sleep. I had horrible visions of her death. I had dreams of creation and dreams of death. It was allot to grasp. As I woke up I could hear sounds of the other tribe’s women talking about how to feed an infant. I went outside. The sun was bright and the air warm. I could see Morry and Dami in the distance working on the sloth hide. I walked over to the provisions tent to eat something. Apples, roots, and smoked sloth jerky. I grabbed a handful of roots and apples and walked over to Morry and my sister. I sat down next to Morry she gave me a light kiss on the cheek. I began eating my apple and roots while they talked about grandma’s funeral. Right before I could finish my apple one of the elders walked over to us. Elder: I come for Billo, chief Borge wants to see you in his space right now. Billo:  I guess I have no choice did he say why he wanted to see me? Elder: No reason was given now lets go. Billo: Good bye Morry , good bye Dami. Morry: Bye Billo.

Elder: Billo I am sorry to hear about your grandma, you must be devastated. I pray for her safe passage into the next world and I prayed for you for your safe passage into the next phase of your life as well. Whatever happens Billo you must be strong. You are a true hunter and warrior. I fought with your father and I can see his soul within you. You have strength and courage. You are strong as an ox and brave as bear. Do not let the death of your grandma haunt you. You are Billo and you are strong. Billo: I thank you for your concern. Elder: When you get inside the only advice I can give you is do not fight it and your true self will shine. Elder: Here he is Borge. I sat down and bowed to the chief Borge.

Borge: Do you know why you are here Billo? Billo: Is it because of the death in my grandma? Borge: No Billo you are a man and we must make sure you are ready for the next phase in your life. Billo: This whole next phase in my life thing seems weird to me, everyone was talking to me about it but I have yet to get a clear answer. Jorge: The answer lies inside this space and inside you. Let’s begin the ceremony. Did you eat anything today? Billo : I did an apple and a few roots. Jorge: Good here drink this. I put the murky green substance down my mouth. It tasted horrible, but I drank it all to not look like a coward in in front of chief. I felt uneasy after drinking from the bowl. I instantly vomit. The murky green substance was the most awful tasting thing I have ever put into my body. Jorge: Very good we must make sure your body is cleansed for the shaman. Billo: What does the shaman want with me? Jorge: He will make sure you are spiritually ready for what is in stored for your future, here take this. The chief handed me a silky rag. Jorge: Clean yourself, you got a long ways to go. Wipe yourself up, good thing you puked into the fire and not all over my things or yourself. As I wipe the vomit from my hands mouth the laughter of the chief and elder began to warp. Time seemed like it was moving slower than normal. I could feel my body becoming weak and my eyes started to close. My body was paralyzed and I feel down to the ground. I saw hallucinations in the back of my eyelids even more intense than normal. Then I could felt as though I was flying through space and just then I landed on a giant mammoth. The mammoth had the face of my father on him. I hugged onto the mammoth with all my strength his presence was warm and strong.

Jorge: Elder please make sure he gets to the cave of Bumuh safely. Elder: You have my word chief I will get him there with the speed of the wind at my back.  Jorge: Thank you.

I wake up in a cave with an owl with red eyes looking at me then it flew away. There is a fire and what looks like an old man’s back. Where am I? The old man turns around. He has a blackened face with red and white patterns. He has a bone located in horizontally in his nose. He is wearing a buffalo’s head on top of his own. He is has on many types of furs, feathers and a bone and shell necklace. He looks at me and said , you are a guest inside my home. I am here to help you on your journey. Here drink this. Billo: What is it? Shaman:  Its honey and apple water this will help you feel better. I drink up everything he gave me. It tasted better than the bitter green drink I tried before. Billo: What will happen to me next shaman? Shaman: In time my child I still have to finish preparing the ceremony. As a sit there I could hear footsteps of a horse come our way. I walked outside. His cave was on the side of a mountain it was a spectacular view of the land. I saw a man carrying a women on behind him she was unconscious. He gets off the horse and takes the girl onto the bed where I was laying on. The sun was setting. It was a beautiful view with the mountains in the background and the river flowing through the valley below. The man quickly left the cave.

Billo: What is going to happen to her? Shaman: You must not worry about others young one, in time you everything will be unfold to you. The sun has set and now the only light is coming from the camp fire in the middle of this shamans cave. I took around and I can see paintings on the walls of the cave. It looks like two armies fighting and in the middle a big explosion. There where pictures of birds, gorillas, eagles, and fish. The girl on the bed finally wakes up. Hi I am Billo, she is somewhat startled by me and gives me a weird look. My name is Jupe. Where am i? Billo: I said the same thing when I got here, this is the shaman’s cave we are in the side of a mountain I have no idea where we are really. Jupe: sarcastily Oh that’s good to know. By the way she said that I could tell she was being sarcastic. The shaman comes over and hands her a bowl of apple water and honey. Jupe: What is this. I explained to her its honey and apple water. She is hesitant to drink.  Billo: Did they make you drink the green soup too? She replies yes my village chief told me it was going to cleanse my soul, but when I drank the green soup it made me puke. Billo: The same thing happened to me.

Enough talk children it is time we begin with the ritual. Now sit next to each other around the fire please. Shaman: Please hold hands with each other. The shaman begins to chant worlds in ancient tongue I can barely understand. He opens a dark box with mystical drawings on it. Then with his hand scoops out some leaves. He puts the box down and then takes out a gourd and pores some kind of alcohol onto two bowls. Then he puts the leaves inside. He hands us the bowl and tells us to drink. This time the liquid was clear and did not taste as bad as the first mystery stew. I guzzle the whole thing down. Jupe is hesitant and drinks it slowly. The shaman tells us to eat the leaves at the same time. The leaves tasted just fine I had no problem eating them. Then as I finish eating the leaves the shaman throws salts into the fire and the fire started to turn different colors. It was an amazing show to watch. Then the shaman begins smoking from a wooden handmade pipe. He then throws more leaves onto the fire and it began to heavily smoke out the cave. Jupe was having a hard time breathing. She began to cough wildly. The smoke was so intense. The shamans’ chanting was getting faster and louder. At this point there was smoke in my eyes and my body felt strange but not in pain. Whenever I blinked I could see visions of mammoths, giant sloths, horse, giant armadillos, and all the other animals in the world. When I opened my eyes things where beginning to warp. Then I looked over to Jupe her head was shaking and she began screaming and flailing her arms around. I tried to reach and hug her but she became violent, she hit me and when I looked in her eyes I could only see the whites in her eyes. Then out of nowhere she stood up screamed and ran out of the cave. Billo:  Hey come back what are you doing. The shamam then reached into his chest and showed me two objects. The first object was an axe and the other object was a golden dagger. He said you must take one and find Jupe. Billo: I chose the axe. I could see, feel and sense the spiritual energy of the axe. Shaman: Go Billo go find her and bring her back safe.

I stood up and I promised the shaman I would bring her back safely. When I walked out of the cave I could see the shooting stars and all the constellations. I could feel my soul and body one with the earth. It was the greatest feeling I have ever felt but I was still uneasy. The sky was full of colors and flying animals in large flocks gliding through the sky.

I could hear a scream that sounded like Jupe. I ran down the side of the mountain with all the inner energy I had. The forest was darker than on top of a mountain cliff side. My vision was still tripping me out. The trees where almost dancing. I saw the owl from before. It hooted and hooted its face warped into the shamans face. Where did she go? I asked the owl. The owl hooted back at me, feel from inside and you will find here. Feel from inside? I thought about what the owl said and from over thinking what he said I collapsed onto the ground. My arms were keeping me up and I looked forward. I could see her foot prints in the dirt begin to light up. The glow was pulsating. I stood up and followed her footsteps. The forest continued to dance. I could see all kinds of animals mating and dancing. Firefly’s in swarms flying around. It was one of the greatest sites ever. The moonlight and her tracks lead me to a waterfall. I saw  the owl again perched on a tree branch near the waterfall. The eyes of the owl where glowing with an intense red. I walked over to the tree. I put my hand on the trunk of the tree and I could feel the vibration of the ants walking in a line on the tree. I could feel the vibration of the owls breathing. This helped reenergize me. I could hear more screaming coming from down the river. I rush down the river. I could see a pack of wolves surrounding Jupe as she screams at the top of her lungs. I could see her climbing up a tree in fear for her life. The tree seemed to be magically guiding her up. I saw the owl fly over head and started to fight off the wolves with its sharp talons. I ran towards a wolf and it ran towards me. I have hunted many wolves before. As I ran towards it, the wolves face began to change shape. I could slightly make out the face of my grandma. Then suddenly I stopped. The wolf bit my leg. With all my strength I used the axe and chopped the wolf down. Another wolf came running towards me. Its bark was loud and sharp as it ran. I stood my ground and repaired for the wolf to jump on top of me. Showing no fear as the wolf jumped to attack me I swung my axe across its chest. Out of nowhere another wolf bites my leg in the same place where the first wolf bit into. I screamed in pain and with all my might chopped the wolves’ head right off of its body.  In an instant the wolf pack ran away, leaving a trail of glowing blood. Jupe quickly came down from the tree. Jupe: Omg Billo look at your leg. Billo: What are you talking about its fine.  Jupe quickly cut a piece of cloth from her robe. Here let me take care of that for you. She wrapped the cloth around my leg where the wolves took a chunk of flesh and meat from my body. She wrapped it tightly so the blood could begin the healing process. Billo: You saved my life Jupe. Jupe: No Billo you saved my life first.

The owl flew down to the ground and said, there is healing springs just down this way follow me. To Jupes surprise the owl could talk. Jupe: Wow this is amazing, we have to go quickly your leg might get infected. Jupe carried me on her shoulder as we hobbled down a path following the owl. I have not seen courage like that in a long time said owl. Owl: Here is the mystical healing spring. It was a gorgeous sight. The moon illuminated the waterfall. There where fire flies hovering around. The water had a sparkle to it. We slowly walked into the spring. The water was very warm. It began to steam up as the cool air met with the warm waters. Jupe had her eyes closed, she was humming. I could only image what was going on in her head. I have never met this girl in my life. She was looking amazing in the water.

I thanked her for carrying me to here. Billo: So where are you from, I have not ever seen you before in my life? She replied I am from the plane lands, where wild horses are abundant. Jupe: My father brought me to the shaman because that’s what’s been done in my family for generations. I did not want to be here, I wanted to stay with my friends and family. How about you Billo tell me about what brings you here. Well, I replied. I was told this is the next phase in my life and I would see what my destiny in life is. The only family I have is my sister and she’s back at my tribe. My parents died when I was young. My grandma recently died. Jupe:  Aw that’s so sad. She slowly came forward towards me. I could feel my heart beat faster and faster. She came very close to me, our faces where very close at this point. We stared into each other’s eyes. She had beautiful green eyes. Starring deep inside her eyes I could see the planet as a whole in swirling

around the sun. See hugs me and I gentle embrace her. The hug turns into us cuddling each other’s body.  She then places her lips onto the mine. I felt a surge of energy running through my body. Her movements become more and more erotic with every kiss. I was holding her body, embracing her form. She rode up my body with hers. I kissed her breasts. She moaned. I was extremely turned on. Her body was so soft and smooth just touching her made my heart race. I moved my hands up and down all over her body. I moved my hands to her butt and grabbed it while sucking on her breast. Her lips and the sound of her moans where all I could feel, and think about. She asked me if this was my first time with a woman.  I said yes it is. Then she put her finger on my lips. Then she slid it in my mouth. Then with her out hand she slowly feels her way down to my body. I was speechless as she began to stroke my penis. She throws her body onto of mine. I was as hard as crystals. My penis penetrated her warm tight vagina. Her body thrusting up and down harder and faster with every wave. I could not last any more. Right before I could climax she hoped off and said and said I can’t continue my body is in pain. I looked her straight into her eyes and grabbed her hugging her, and kissed her lips slowly and softly. Then suddenly she left got up and left the spring. She said we must make shelter for the night or go back to the shaman. We should go back to the shaman I promised to bring you back to him. I got up out of the spring. I sat on a log to check my leg. To my surprise the wolf bites had completely healed. Wow that’s amazing the healing spring worked.  Right after I said that she ran away into the woods.

Oh my god why does this keep happening.  I ran after her as fast as I could. I could see her 5 feet in front of me. She ran and ran and then stopped. I could see the large trees in the surrounding area begin to dance, the wind flowing through the leaves sounding like flutes. In front of us was a table will clay bowls, jars, and cups. The whole area was lit up with torches around the area of the table. There was a turtle, frog, rabbit, and the owl from before. They all had human like bodies except for the owl. I slowly got closer to Jupe and whispered in her ears. Billo: Are you seeing this? Jupe: Yes I do this is amazing I want join them, it looks like fun. Billo: You do not know what’s going on here; this could be evil spirits planning something. Jupe: Look at them the turtle and frog are dancing while the rabbit claps along. Billo: This is not what it seems, we must go. I was very unsure of what was going on. We stayed behind the brush for a minute. The owl saw us then fly at the speed of light and stopped midflight right in front of us. Owl: You two come follow me me. Jupe and I got up and followed the owl to the table. Owl: You two had quite the adventure earlier. Are you hungry? I stayed silent trying to focus my mind. Too much was going on for me to want to speak. Jupe: Yes I am starved and tired. Jupe now was laughing uncontrollably. The other animals at the table where making faces trying to get me to laugh as well. Billo: Spirit Owl can you tell me what is going on here? Owl: Well this is the inside of your mind. Billo: What are you talking about? Owl: Its simple really your mind is making all of this up, nothing here is really as it seems. Owl: Look Billo your mind is telling you something. Look at Jupe she’s not stressing out, in fact it looks like she’s enjoying herself. Jupe was playing with the rabbit to my surprise. Owl: Just don’t worry about it Billo. You have strong legs and arms. You also have a strong mind as well. Your mind is more important than anything else in this world; you must use it to make the best decisions for yourself. The world is full of strange and mystery. Owl: Jupe I hope you are listening like Billo is. Jupe: I am magic owl. Billo: Jupe I think this is important wise words we should be listening to. Owl: Your mind is the key to the future of your own wellbeing. In life we are tasked with making decisions every day that will determine the rest of your life.  So please when you are thinking about doing something or saying something focus your mind. Thoughts are what make this world a reality . Thoughts and ideas shape mankind. Your emotions are a part of your thought. When you learn to control the two your spirit will be happy and you can flourish in the world. I cannot show you everything you need to know about the world, only you can experience and see for yourself the beauty. Do you have any more questions? Billo: Yes I do, can you see the future wise owl? Owl: That is something I cannot see. If the legends are true then you can be the one who saves his people. Billo: Save my people? Owl: Yes save your people from extinction. As the owl was telling us this information my stomach was feeling upset. Jupe: Billo you need to try this food its taste amazing. Here take this apple it’s so big and juicey. I could not eat more than 4 bites of the apple I was too lost in my own thoughts. Everything that was happening, this table, these people, the animals was almost too much to handle. I felt so tired. I needed to lie down. Billo: We need to rest wise owl where can we go to lay ourselves? Jupe: I am feeling okay I do not need to sleep I want to know more about life and the world magic owl. Owl: Ah Jupe you are something alright. You two will have much more to see in the coming days. My stomach was killing me at this point. My vision began to blur. Billo: Help me. The owl flew up and morphed into a giant owl with a mighty beard. Owl: I will take you two somewhere safe, climb on my back. Jupe: Oh my gods Billo are you seeing this? This is unbelievable. We climbed on the giant owls back. Owl: Hold on tight. I sat on this giant owl with Jupe and it began to flap its mighty wings in the air. When I looked down I could see the rabbit, frog, and turtle wave to us good bye. Just like that we were flying and on our way. Flying in the sky with the stars and moon light was an amazing sight. Jupe was holding on to me very tightly. Her grip around me was almost too much. The owl flew us back to the shamans cave in the mountainside. When we landed the owl told us to rest here. It was still dark. I vomited profusely when we landed. We walked into the cave feeling our way through the cave walls. Jupe helped me into the bed. There was barely enough room for the both of us. I told her to lie on the bed while I lay on the ground. Jupe: We are safe in here we both need rest. Billo: Where is the shaman? The cave was completely empty cold and dark. Jupe: Billo please come onto the bed with me, I can’t sleep thinking about you lying cold and sick on the floor. I got up and slid my way onto the old bed with Jupe. Jupe: Here we can share this blanket. As we lay there in the shaman’s bed I wrapped my arms around her so not to freeze to death. Jupe: What’s going to happen to us tomorrow? Billo: I don’t know, but what I do know is I want to go home. Jupe: Me too, Billo there is something I want to tell you. When we first met here in this cave you had no idea who I was or where I’m from. After saving me from the wolves and what the owl said, I need you to know something. I am inline to be queen of Smorka. I hope this doesn’t change the way you see me. After everything that happened tonight I don’t know if I can go through with the ceremony. Billo are you awake?

I woke up from a vivid dream. I was in a strange land. People crowded in walkways formed by man. Buildings were tall, short and in all different shapes. I walked down a path to a market where people traded. In the corner of my eye I saw Luppo wearing strange clothes. I yelled out to him. I ran towards him. He took me through a maze of allies. He stopped in front of a large fountain covered in gold. Then he disappeared. I spun around and saw steps leading to an enormous palace. I walked up and up the stairs but they seemed to be never ending.

My mouth was dry. I could only see the back of Jupes head. I forced myself out of the bed. Jupe was still sleeping. I went around the cave to scavenge something to eat. There were strange relics in the cave, a statue of a women, bone necklaces and strange rocks. In in the corner of my eye I could see a bow and a quiver of arrows. I inspected the arrows; they were made with great detail, and eagle feathers. I took them and went outside. The air was cool and crisp. Jupe had woken up from her sleep. She rubbed her eyes with her hands. Jupe: Billo where are you going? Billo: I need to find food my stomach is in pain and I am very hungry. Jupe: Did you look around the shamans cave for anything to eat? Billo: I did.. I found nothing but this bow and a few arrows. Stay here I will bring something back. Jupe: No, I want to go with you. I don’t want to be around the shaman without you. Billo: Okay lets go.

We headed out. Walking down the mountain side, the view overlooking the forest below was spectacular.  We went down to the dirt path leading to the forest below. This time the trees stood tall and still. Billo: I do not want to get lost again we should stay close by this trail. Look over there I  see some berries we could eat. We walked over to the bush. The berries where strange looking. They were red and had soft spines. I used my axe to brake on open. The fruit was white and juicy. Jupe gathered a handful of them. While she was doing that a young bear cub came over of the trees. I aimed my bow at the bear cub. I shot it with my bow. Billo: What luck this bear cub came out of nowhere and now we have an easy meal. Right after I had said that another bear much larger in size came out of the forest. This time the bear was gigantic about twice the height of us. Billo: Run!!! I grabbed Jupes arm and sprinted up the dirt path. My heart was racing. The bear roared with all its might. We made it back to the cave with the bear right behind us. Lucky the cave entrance was too narrow for the bear to chase us inside. I shot 4 arrows into the giant bear. All 4 shots hit the bear in the chest. We were very lucky to have survived that incident. Jupe: Billo that was amazing you saved me again. If you had not grabbed my arm I would have been that bear’s meal. I was panting for air. Billo: Do you have any food with you? Jupe: Yes I managed to grab a few berries, here take them all you need them. The bear roared much louder this time from outside of the cave. I ate the berries and then went around the shaman’s cave again looking for something to start a fire with to scare the bear off. I knocked over things and suddenly realized I discovered something. It was a hidden passage the shaman was hiding from view. I pressed the button, and the back of his cave wall began to open. Jupe: Don’t go down there you don’t know what you might find. He is a shaman with magical powers it could be a trap. Billo: That’s something I am willing to risk, now are you coming with me or staying here? Jupe: Wait! What about the bear? Billo: He is not going any were with 4 arrows in his chest. Jupe: Okay I am coming with you. The hidden passage had a torch already lit witch I grabbed. Billo: Jupe be quite I do not want anyone hearing us. Jupe: got it. We walked down into the darkness. It smelt of onions. The hidden passage seemed to snake around with twist and turns. We eventually neared a beam of light. There was a hole in the cave where sunlight could shine through. To the right of the opening was a chamber. It looked like a temple inside the cave. In the middle of the chamber was the shaman sitting cross legged with his face turned away from us. He was talking to someone but no one else was in the room. It sounded like he was chanting something. He then stopped. He turned his head around stood up. He turned around and walked towards us. Shaman: You two come here now. We had no other choice. He guided us to the center of the room. There were carvings in the floor. He sat us down. Shaman: You two are very lucky to be alive. When you left I never thought you two would come back alive or even by the morning sun. Now tell me what did you see when you ran off of from my sight. Billo: It was all a blur to me. Jupe: Me too I don’t remember much. The answer I gave the Shaman was a lie, I remembered everything that happened. I wasn’t sure if Jupe was lying either I couldn’t tell. I think the shaman knew but I wasn’t sure of any of it. Jupe: What did you have us drink? It made me fearful of death. Shaman: There is a plant native to this range of land. It has special spiritual powers that can show people there inner desires and help the person transcend into a higher being. Only a small handful of people come to me to drink it. Your fate is determined at birth and from what I happened last night I know for sure one of you has power beyond this world. Now Billo are you ready for what is to come: Billo I am. Shama: Are you ready Jupe? Jupe: I am.
