LIFE IS LIVED AT A POKER TABLE

LIFE IS LIVED AT A POKER TABLE

A Poem by Seawolf 306
"

This is about some trusting sole who learns the hard way. A coming of age at any age.

"

I suddenly woke up to find myself slacking, at a high stakes poker game while I was napping.

I discovered I had been giving away too much information, while those at the table loved their chip stack inflation.

I changed my tactic to become less readable, the player's reaction was not foreseeable.

They brought in their big guns to force me to quiver, still I would not give in and deliver.

The game continued another round, a least this time, I didn't end up on the ground.

Someday I will leave the poker table, at peace with knowing that it was all a fable.
