It Still Hurts

It Still Hurts

A Poem by Review

your voice floats through the air,
others praise you for the beautiful melodies you weave.

But I have heard your voice spit venom,
burning,
killing,
destroying.

And it still hurts.

I see a paper
written in your unmistakeable script,
others love you
for the enchanting stories you can scrawl
in your sleep.

But I have seen your words
saying things
the others
would never
have thought
could come
from
your
hand.

Hateful,
Spiteful,
poisoning
words.

And it still hurts.

Resentment born from a hidden truth the mask in your hands trembles and quakes before turning to dust, though as it shatters the pottery cuts your fragile flesh and even in the light of disgust you are sorrowful and bleeding, hidden behind the scandal. Beautiful and brutal the words weave a tale of betrayal and deceitful distaste that in its simplicity becomes divine.

Yah, that is pretty good work. Why it is that i can relate to it, though i didn't got a little thread to write anything about that.
The first two stanza are the best for me.
Thanks for sharing....

The resentment towards this person was clearly vocalized. It tears away the persons fakely pleasant outer layer to reveal an inner evil. Well done.

Review,

WoW!

I am absorbing your words right now.

All I can say is (do I know this person?), No, really I do feel we can all relate to this write.

Great job on swallowing us within your words, it kept me pondering!

Have a great day,

Legacy

This is really fantastic and a joy to read. How well some hide behind the mask but this exposes them for what they are underneath it. Awesome
