Hourglass Secrets

Hourglass Secrets

A Poem by Revery

Here’s to endless sapphire crystal yearning

with ambitions of ink splashed onto white,

and mossed soliloquy patterns burning,

wrought willfully with telling words poets write.

Even forbidden storms know hourglass secrets

where desires stretch past dawn deep into night.

Even grace escapes dignified regrets

that whisper bittersweet amethyst rain rites.

Emotions silence blooms an eloquence reprieve,

crumbled sand mounds speak of tranquility,

and

perhaps, if we wait patiently, we might conceive

compositions of pearl-born tapestries.

You're ever so welcome my sweet friend, I enjoyed this one, you always are art on Writers Cafe! xo
Beautiful, soft phrasing, using colour, using calm .. maybe a gentling into another direction. Too many excerpts i could choose but, there's something about this, '.. Even forbidden storms know hourglass secrets ~ where desires stretch past dawn deep into night.'

Many thanks for leaving such beautiful pics, by the way. Is this one of yours, it certainly could be.

Thank you so much.
The language in this piece is exquisite. Your use of color was unlike anything that I have ever read. I am simply in awe of this stellar piece of poetry.

Thank you so much, I appreciate you kind review.
It's strange because I felt like I was walking barefoot through a storm and yet felt safe in the trust and knowing what the pearl was to deliver. This is beyond beautiful..xo

Such a beautiful way to express crafting art from a deep, yearning place...this is " a pearl-born tapestry"-the treasure is the emotions you evoke with this poem. That even our forbidden storms- the places and things we do to ourselves that evoke drama, can bring a quiet perspective after the rain, and if we are alert and listening; pearls of insight and wisdom.

Thank you dear. :) Hope your well.
This one is grand Revery, I so love poetry about poetry, this one blew my skirt up for sure.

Even forbidden storms know hourglass secrets
where desires stretch past dawn deep into night.

That line resonates with me, especially after when I just finished writing, this is by far one of my favorites, top shelf...write now.

I happen to like the last stanza, perhaps change 'receive' to be gifted, only a suggestion :-)

Such a fine write, G! I loved it. There is such a hopeful tone that weaves throughout each line - that speaks to me of the value of our words, writings, sharing work with others. We pour our hearts out and hope it is well received, or at least understood. Second stanza is perfection - don't touch it!

I like the last stanza too. 'Pearl-born' throws me a little.... Maybe something like rainbow-woven, or wind-song... I think of white with pearls- and tapestries, to me, reminds me of color. Just a thought ;)

Lovely write!
