How I can, in my six years on this site, have missed a writer of such sublime skill for so long is a mystery! Anyone who can attract praise from a writer of the brilliance of Linda van Tassell must certainly be a force worth dealing with!
This poem contains subtleties my old head has yet to unravel, but there is no doubting the elegance of their expression. The several references to blue hues--"pearl-born, amethyst, sapphire"--suggest to me the sea's mocking of the sky by emulation of it's true hue in her reflected illusory one. Am I anywhere near your intended meaning?

Thank you very much. Your comments are very generous and kind.
simple words turned into beauty on the page by the writer with a pen.
I love this and the flow of it, and how the colors form the pictures before my eyes as I read it, and take in the meanings.

Thank you Josie I appreciate you reading and commenting on my poem. :)
The first two lines are a brilliant introduction to the poem, giving a toast through your words, weaving them throughout, then ending with possibly receiving compositions of pearl-born tapestries. Your poem does have that certain shimmer and glimmer that only a true poet can divine, words to wrap around as though the nacre of a pearl. Great job!

Thank you for your comments. I'm am flattered by your visit and kindness.
I just don't come over here enough, sorry. This is truly beautiful. The way you speak of wanting to write. Patiently waiting to reemerge, like a rebirth almost. Sometimes stepping away for a little bit can be exactly what is needed to get the creative juices flowing. Very nice.
