Epic

Epic

A Poem by Revery

Manifestation of evolution

is right there,
just before us
always within us
and most available.

You know it
when
life looks like death,
the path to life
is mistaken
as the path to death

in the hollows of desperation
when
aching cruelty demands more
we jump off the cliff
into a free fall
into epic and vital change.

The depth and breadth
of emotional capacity
is ripped open for more
when we thought we were completely
and utterly spent.

Embrace the pain
and let it bring you
to a crystal clear razor sharp edge.
Epic rejuvenation,
epic light
living purely in the heart
and honest in the soul
and just breathe
and be.

What was meant to swallow me
is a genesis in every way.

Another remarkable poem. Thank you. The intensity and profundity of this piece makes me very curious about your journey and your life story. No need to divulge, of course, but there it is. :)

To live every moment as everything will pass, the beautyful and the bizzarre, the good and the bad alike. Living with no fear, living an epic life.

Thank you New Theory. :)
We do learn through our hard times. We learn to move onward because life is always worth it. Each life is an "Epic" and as we walk through ours, we can edit it to a certain degree. Wise life advice in your well written lines. Lots to think about. Lydi**

Thank you for reading and commenting dear.
It is only through our struggles that we learn to appreciate the blessings and light.

Good to see you here, G. There is a deep, profound message within these lines. Well executed without being too heavy. You guide the reader gently through so they may grasp the meaning for themselves.

Those last few stanzas are superb!

Thank you Sirrah. I appreciate you coming by and reading. :)
Each thread woven affects the other when plucked. Have swam the depths of sorrow and pain seeing you have captured the emotion beautifully. Splendid read and write.

My pleasure.
The depth of this write, is fueled by pain... the heart does not need to evolve alone.

Beautifully sad, and indeed epic....

My pleasure...You are welcome...:)
There are times when a being feels more than desperate, that he or she can't sink any lower, physically, mentally, spiritually. Life, time, only exists in darkness. Until somehow, some time there's a moment when a minute glimmer of light shines. Grows brighter, speck by speck by speck until .. in spite of back.sliding, in spite of needing immediacy, life, truth, comfort, trust, faith and all other vitasl needs return .. to be .. cherished.

'.. epic light ~ living purely in the heart ~ and honest in the soul ~ and just breathe and be. .. '

Perhaps.

" Embrace the pain and let it bring you ".
There is dignity in bearing the pain for it gives birth to a greater forms of virtue. Courage is born in the middle of fear. Amibiality is born in the middle of dishonesty and so on...

The poetic persona here is showing much courage, I admire.
