Why should I yearn
to dwell with the poets
  in remnants of worlds cast away

where we felt, loved, failed

and burned

  Lost in
the sands of time
where rhyme speaks
of other dimensions
of everyday
in other ways
and
where the beauty of passion
needs desperately,
and inevitably
to bleed into expression

  What pulls me here

where pleasure and pain

and flesh burns

into a brutal sear

Scared and marred into

something jaded

wishing time

would cause

memories faded

to just go away

But I am again

is nothing to the dead." Dickinson said. And I understand that "again here" means the same
as Dickinson meant it in that after one "bleeds into expression", purges the salt from the wounds
of defeat, then "here" is the triumph; the victory over all else....

I wanted to respond with there was no defeat, but I would be wrong, everybody loses and no one wins.

I do certainly feel more comfortable in the fact that since I have alienated myself I now have far less to lose.
