"He who is already dead, does not walk alone..." She could hear Cameron muttering behind her. She worked frantically, she knew that the undead soldiers would not last forever, only as long as Cam was conscious, and she didn't know how long that would be considering the massive hit to the head he'd taken.

Tayra dipped her quill into the black ink again, continuing to take down the characters on the stone that was embedded into the wall in her Journal.

This Journal, for which so much had been sacrificed by so many, simply to keep its powerful secrets from the wrong hands. First her Father, Samuel Colton had given his life to keep her and this stupid journal safe. Then her boyfriend Cameron, had been infected by some kind of demon thing and he now had to fight constantly for control over his own body with the demon who called himself David. He'd even swallowed his pride to save her a few times by working with the demon.

Not to mention the generations of Coltons who had protected the far North's secrets from governments and corporations alike.

He was breathing hard, she could hear it all. The gun fire, the gut wrenching screams of the wounded government agents as the skeletal monsters let loose their savage cry, she still wasn't used to the sound. It was as if a thousand angry teachers were running their finger nails on check boards.

No matter matter what she did, how hard she tried to convince her brain to recognize this screeches as the sound of good guys. She just couldn't, it unnerved her every time.

The insane, invincible, and very bone-y skeletal force that Cameron had summoned was fighting off the almost pointless attack of the agents. The skeletons were using everything they could find to fight, even each other.

"Tay! Hurry up!" He yelled back at her, the strain clearly evident in his voice.

"Almost done Cam, be ready to Vanish!" By this point though, she could tell that Cam was barely in control and certainly in no shape to Vanish.

She scribbled a half a dozen more characters into the journal before closing it and turning around, grabbing Cameron's shoulders. "Listen, I need David right now, I need you to let him take control." He shook his head firmly. "No, Tay you can't trust him, I can vanish us." She raised an eyebrow at him. "You couldn't Vanish your little finger if you wanted to right now." His face turned red, and he shook his head, muttering to himself for a moment, as if arguing with himself (and he probably was). Then froze and turned around with a grin on his face, but it wasn't his grin. She knew that David was in charge now.

He flexed his arms and stretched his legs, hopping up and down for a moment."Ah, yes, it feels good to have a body. Now, I believe I'll be on my way..."

"Just a minute David, you're going to help me Vanish, and then you're going give control back to Cam." He paused for a moment. "And just what in the hell, makes you think I'll do that?"

Tayra pulled a small, blue wooden box out of her bag. It was ornately decorated with Celtic runes. "This." She stated simply. He looked completely undaunted. "If you use that, you'll lose him too." She raised an eyebrow and began to open the lid, and David's eyes went wide, as a golden shimmer seemed to start separating itself from Cams body. "Okay! Okay! I'll do it!" Tayra snapped the box shut.

Of all the things she had expected him to do after that incident, he laughed. "Well played Miss Colton, well played. I will do as you say."

He drew the black sword, just as she'd seen Cameron do a thousand times before, and stabbed it point first into the ground. "Where to Mi'Lady?" He asked, holding out his hand. She gave him a look that would've made Kings shudder and took his hand. "You know, Richard's Cliff."

He nodded. "He who is dead is nowhere and everywhere." And with that, the small army of skeletons around them collapsed, and the two were nowhere to be seen.
