No One Knows HerA Poem by BruceJacksonHere is a poem about a nameless womanShe used to be the cat's meow, Strutting around just knowing she was fine. Nowadays she's seen better days So it's known around town. Life has taken possession of her beauty And time has tormented what was left. She has been known and seen here and there, But no one knows what she has left. She's seen better days better than these And one is left to wonder when. No one can recall her name. No one can remember her name. No one has known her potential. Only the remnant of her beauty remains. She lives but we won't call it living. She’s already half dead And the rest remains to be seen. © 2011 BruceJackson |
