Burial

Burial

A Poem by Reticent
"

An Ottava Rima/Acrostic poem depicting the scene of an unknowing and innocent child lying under the rubble struggling to hold on to life before eventually passing after his mosque has been bombed.

"

Ignorant of such cruel intention and spite

Longing for silence to make fragile this hurt

Amiss with untimely reckoning of night

Yet starving for dimness, for resting in dirt

Haunting my own, but a caterpillar’s plight

Enveloped, it worsens, to become less alert

Rain drops above me, serendipity be known

End is upon me, under earth load and stone
