Defeat

Defeat

A Poem by Charlie Andrews

My cheeks slick with moisture
sadness marring my face
My eyes an endless tunnel;
Mapping an unknown place.

My heart crying for mercy,
My soul screaming from within
These thoughts a mess of confusion,
My pain caged therein

Panic an only option
As I try to fight the wrong,
It's past, but not over
Living forever long.

Dreams of happiness: Illusions
Masking the hurt inside
Nightmares of alarming fashion
Unable to run, unable to hide

Time my malign enemy
Ready for it's next kill
An hourglass of anguish
As it searches to fulfill.

A desire for blood and pain,
A deadly craving unstopped.
Daggers the hands of eternity,
The laughing face, a malevolent clock.

Humiliation, Hate, Deciet.
Sadness, Servitude, Defeat.
Lies, Slander, a feeling of Forlorn,
Trapped, Darkness, ripped up and Torn.

Lost...Help.
My eyes of the sea;
Crying, Bleeding,
Save me.
