Mother

Mother

A Poem by RESWAR

I long to rock his cradle,
hold his finger
So let the pain seep through me

I can almost hear his cry
The unborn is now a part of me

I flush within and as I deform,
I feel pride
I am no longer who I used to be

I am growing and growing fast
From a lass to a woman and now a mother to be

The joy i feel of giving life is such as something I cant describe
And yet can I see no other joy that thus brims a woman with feminity

I slowly become selfless,
blind,
defying the worldly rules of wants

And with blood and tears I watch the sun rise high
while i deliver life.
A precious child.
