Eclipsed Adolescent

Eclipsed Adolescent

A Poem by BeautyFromPain
"

Her suicidal bestfriend..

"

Behind closed doors, she will leave you un-amused.

Watch in terror and disgust but still in awe.

Are you still here?

Tears rolling down her cheeks, her face smudged with eyeliner.

She puts down the bloody blade.

She walks to her closet.

Her homemade noose is ready for the works.

She climbs on top of the chair as you watch the show.

She is wearing our friendship necklace; I gave to her for her birthday.

She kisses it and holds it against her heart.

She says.”Forever and ever” in a hushed tone.

Our eyes meet and stare for only a few seconds that felt infinite.

She smirks then kicks the chair.

Her legs shaking and kicking with such strength.

Finally she is just dangling... Her body swaying back and forth.

I was in such utter shock, I felt paralyzed and powerless.

My only best friend I always loved so dearly is gone forever.

See you soon Emily. Ice cream date tomorrow, don’t forget.

Please pick up your phone.

Voicemail: “You have 481 new messages.”
