A Short Stay at HospitalA Poem by Kenny Bellamy
They stole my flesh,
granted it was trying to murder me. And I know who did it. I saw his face with a smile like a vandalized graveyard. With thick-thumbed hands bound up in finger condoms. Not the woman with the red lips heels and tight white skirt clingling across her a*s. It was that man who shoved his arm into my gut. Congratulations, he said Its a beautiful baby. It wasn't It was my ruptured appendix.
