Do Not Blame the World for Your Failure

Do Not Blame the World for Your Failure

A Poem by Kenny Bellamy

Do not blame the world for your failure,
hate yourself hotter than they can hate.
Seek solitude, solitude in nature.

Wise men may seek for a shining savior
when they bow low before heaven's gate
and do not blame the world for their failure.

Young boys will burn with hellish danger,
their failures do not betray their fate,
they seek solitude, solitude in nature.

Wilderness breeds a brood of strangers
who fight to learn earliest that the late
do not blame the world for their failure.

Those deathbed sinners who see the manger
Christ was born to, would suffer to wait
and seek solitude, solitude in nature.

And you, my brother of bad behavior,
sit down and hear me say it straight:
do not blame the world for your failure,
seek solitude, solitude in nature.
