MOM

MOM

A Poem by ReniRee

We fuss, we fight, we yell, and scream

We laugh, we smile, we giggle and beam

We try, we fail, we get up and leave

You go home, you drink and you stay there to grieve

We don’t talk, we don’t try we destroy what we’ve built

We don’t eat, we don’t sleep but we hold no guilt

We don’t listen, we don’t see, we stare at the walls

          I don’t care; I don’t want to; I ignore your calls

But you come back, do you forgive me? I’m so doubtful

Go away! I don’t want you! I’ve thrown in the towel!

But you don’t, you stay, despite what I say

I thank you dear mother and Happy Mother’s Day
