Black Boy

Black Boy

A Poem by ReniRee
"

Describes a young negro boy overcoming his fear of the streets

"

Look at the boy

With the ebony skin

No nice toys

No nice place to live

 Forced to fight

Those who tower

Forced to flight

But not to cower

He didn’t go to the North Wind

But he got a magic stick

Slightly bend…

Now swing a hit!!!!

Look at the man

With the ebony skin

He took his hands,

Then made a place to live

This makes me think of living in the ghetto and how most black people have to work extra hard to get what they want and live the life they need to feel at least okay, if not accepted. This is a really good quality poem, and it's really touching. Nice job. I'm just confused... I'm not sure what this section really means:
"He didn’t go to the North Wind
But he got a magic stick
Slightly bend…
Now swing a hit!!!!"
Besides that, I love it
