Cold Case Child

Cold Case Child

A Poem by Joseph - Michael
"

Once upon a time back in 1800's.

"

There Was This Poor Little Girl

Shy, Scared, And Almost All Muted

From Knowing The Horror And The Terror

She Saw What No Man Ever Imagined

Poor Little Girl First Saw The Unspeakable Evil

She Called Him The Devil

Because He Was The Silent Predator That Was Stalking

Then Started All Of The Smooth Talking

Afterward, He Killed His Victims With The Small Knives

He Smiled As He Taking Away Pieces Of Their Lives

He Was The Most Ultimate Sociopathic Horror

Poor Little Girl Was Lucky Enough To Live

Because He Smiled At Her Along With A Wink

Then Let Her Go

Poor Little Girl Moved To Another Shadow To Live In

Hoped That She Wouldn't See The Devil Again

And Hoped That She Will Forget The Horror

That Was Until Another Nightmare Came In

As If She Was In The Wrong Place At The Wrong Time

Poor Little Girl Saw Another Indescribable Evil

She Called Him The Demon

Because He Was The Lurker That Was Waiting

Then Started All Of The Unusual Working

Afterward, He Killed His Victims With The Strange Blades

He Sang As He Took In Their Body Parts For The Trades

He Was The Most Ultimate Psychopathic Terror

Poor Little Girl Was Lucky Enough To Live

Because He Looked At Her And Sympathized

Then Let Her Go

Poor Little Girl Moved To Another Shadow To Live In

Hoped That She Wouldn't Hear The Demon Again

And Hoped That She Will Forget The Terror

Poor Little Girl's Mind Was Shattered

From The Darkness She Had Witnessed

Finally She Kept Her Eyes Wide Shut

Kept Her Ear Tightly Covered

Hid Somewhere In The Empty Boiling Room

That Was Until More Unexpected Nightmare Came In

As If She Was In The Wrong Place At The Wrong Time Again

Poor Little Girl Wasn't As Safe As She Thought

Because The Devil And The Demon

Just Encountered In The Same Place

There Was The Bloody Smile Out Of The Devil

Which She Thought That She Would Never See Again

And There Was The Bloody Roar Out Of The Demon

Which She Thought That She Would Never Hear Again

For A Moment There; There Was A Bloody Battle

Out Of All Of The Evils That Men Do;

A Duel To The Death

Poor Little Girl Watched The Darkness;

The Madness And The Craziness

As The Devil And The Demon Were Fighting

The Demon Was Winning By Making The Devil Bleed

Yet The Devil Had Overcame The Demon By Mentally

Somehow, The Fear And The Pain Didn't Affect Either Of Them

Because, The Devil Didn't Have The Heart To Feel The Pain

As Much As The Demon Didn't Have The Mind For The Fear Game

Poor Little Girl Tried Her Best Not To Break Her Vows

Remembering The Vows Not To See And To Hear

But, She Never Vowed Not To Scream

Both Of The Killers Turned And Saw Her

The Devil Smiled At Her Then Looked At The Demon

As The Demon Understood Her Then Looked At The Devil

The Devil Stabbed The Demon In Torso With The Scalpels

The Demon Sliced The Devil's Throat With The Shaver

As Their Lives Were Slowly Slipping Away

The Demon Grabbed And Threw The Devil In The Furnace

Yet, The Devil Held On And Pulled The Demon In With Him

Together, They Were Burning In Hell

After A While They Burned Away;

Ashes To Ashes And Dusts To Dusts

Poor Little Girl Never Spoken Of Them

Not To Any Souls, Not Even Once

Only Confessed The Nightmarish Stories In Her Diary

Almost A Century Later, There Was A Curious Girl

Neither As Poor Nor Little As The Witness Girl

The Curious Girl Got Her Hands On The Ancient Diary

And Cracked Two Of The Biggest Cold Cases Ever

That Were Never Solved For Over Hundred Years

Nancy Drew Had Learned That Her Grandmother

Was The Last Person Alive That Knew What Happened

To Two Of The Famous Serial Killers That Were Never Identified

Until Now;

The Devil Was Jack The Ripper

And The Demon Was Sweeney Todd

Author's Note

Joseph - Michael
To the serious readers / researchers, for your information; Sweeney Todd took place in London back in 1846-1847 and Jack The Ripper took place in London as well back in 1888 and they both are for real. No one ever knew who they were or what happened to them... As for Nancy Drew; She's a fictional young amateur detective in various mystery series for children and teens that started in 1930 and still ongoing.

So, this is just an imaginary mystery story. Hope that you all enjoyed it.

Hehe, WOW!! Man, this was incredible!! I totally loved this story, man; this was awesome!! I could imagine the scenes perfectly. It really got my blood pumping hehe. A real spicey dish...A little bit of danger, a little bit of horror, a little bit of history, and a touch of imagination. Brilliant!!

This felt like golidilocks and the three bears meets little red riding hood meets H.P. Lovecraft. There were many parts where the syntax and use of particular diction bothered me, but to balance that out there where many parts that were amazingly written. The large spaced out bold print also bothered me. Maybe because it was too much when combined with the length. That's probably just me though. I liked the subject matter. Right up my alley...no pun intended. I really like this and it could be fantastic with a little work.

I haven't finished reading it yet but before I give an offical review the first few stanzas remind me of the music video for lordi called "would you love a monsterman?" :]

Nice - and creative too. I figured toward the end it would have something to do with Sweeney Todd. The imagery was pretty frightening and the story told by the poem flowed pretty well and held interest. Nicely done.

You're right, I did like this. An awesome cross-over between two serial killers definitely made my day! This could totally be the ultimate fanfic, man! It really makes the reader (i.e. me) get a heart rate at the speed of light. :D ...This would make a cool song, too. ;)

Great work! I loved it! ^^

Definitely two crazy serial killers but I loved how you created a solution for them. I'm a fan of both stories and I even did a report on Jack the Ripper last year in college. This is wonderful. I love the new age stuff that you bring to the table.
