Twisted And Mixed Souls

Twisted And Mixed Souls

A Poem by Joseph - Michael
"

Don't know where I got this idea from. Just a thought to create a love story in different ways.

"

Along Came The Slow, Mental Illness Man

Holding Hand With The Handicapped Woman

~ What Made Them Stick Together? ~

They Are Always So Drawn Together

Without Worrying About The Another

~ What Caused Them To Stay Together? ~

He Gave Her The Best Of The Friendship

She Gave Him The Best Companionship

~ What Will Happen Next? ~

He'll Show Off His Infamous Dance

While She's Left In The Trance

~ What Will They Do Next? ~

She'll Do Some Of Her Smooth Singing

While He's Around Her To Do Some Mingling

~ What Are They Planning To Do After? ~

In The Need Of To Have And To Hold

All The Way Through The Age Of Old

~ What Are They Planning Afterward? ~

Never Ever Going To Be Separate

Otherwise, They'll Be So Desperate

~ What Would They Dare To Do? ~

Did Everything With Only Two Words

Out Of The Real Imperfect World

~ What Made Them Say; "I Do"? ~

Truly As A Husband And A Wife

Already Starting The Perfect Life

It Was The Fate That Had Gotten Them To Meet...

It Was Their Choices To Be Each Others' Heartbeats...

It Was Their Uncontrolable Love To Be Sweetens...

Love has many different faces and you really brought it to the table with this one. I think the most faithful and caring relationships are of people who are considered by society as "different" because they fully accept one another for who they are without bias. Now that is true love. Very nice and caring of you to write about it.

I saved this piece to my favorites decades ago when you first posted it. It touched my heart because the piece reflects the true meaning of love. Loving someone to be able to see past their handicaps and love somone for who they are on the inside. I saw a blind couple walk across the street today. Hand in hand, using their canes as guides as they were going to their destination. Your words and this poem came to my mind. Being handicapped does not mean that one cannot love.. thought the couple may have been blind, they could very well be happier than most of us who can see.. For they "can see" a person for who they really are.. and not for the physical alone. :) We are sometimes "blind" to what is on the inside and can only "see" what is on the outside.

A great write... and a lovely story!

Very interesting. In my work I have had the joy of watching people that are "different" love, and take care of each other.
