Angel No More

Angel No More

A Poem by Joseph - Michael
"

It's pretty ironic; Loving someone when the person no longer love you back anymore.

"

The Wings Of The Angel Are Burning

Away To The Ash; Toward The Dust

Within All Of My Heart And Soul Yearning

For That I'm Still In Love With My Lust

Lusting For The Scent Of Her Love

Lusting For The Sight Of Her Love

Lusting For The Sound Of Her Love

Lusting For The Taste Of Her Love

Lusting For The Touch Of Her Love

Giving Everything All Up, Even The Eternity

All Just For In The Name Of The Love

Entering Into The Realm Of The Mortality

All Just For One Woman Whom I Truly Love

Lusting For Her Scent For Me To Smell

Lusting For Her Sight For Me To See

Lusting For Her Sound For Me To Hear

Lusting For Her Taste For Me To Please

Lusting For Her Touch For Me To Feel

Now That She Had Forsaken Me

Refusing To Allow Me To Love Her

My Heart No Longer Beats, Only To Bleed

I Won't Give Up On Her, I'll Wait For Her

Still Lusting For Her Scent To Return

Still Lusting For Her Sight To Return

Still Lusting For Her Sound To Return

Still Lusting For Her Taste To Return

Still Lusting For Her Touch To Return

The Angel Wings Are Still Burning All Away

As I'm Still Waiting For The Return Of My Love

Right Now, All I Can Do Nothing, But To Pray

For The Returning Into The Embrace Of My Love

I know that it may be a bit too much of repetition, but she happen to loves music, that's why I got "lost in the world of the music". Also, this writing is somewhat inspired by the song, "Wish I Had An Angel" by Nightwish.

I feel that it may have been "that to much" that made it just right!
I brings a story to us of love and love lost, and how strongly people attach to certain people.
I find that this is poem that brings a great lesson of morality with it.
It is so true, for so many people love so strong and so deep, that it's hard to move on. And all thats left to calm them, is the memories and the hope of their return.
Great writing!

Hi Joe.

(Nice to meet you)

Let me say firstly, I have difficulty commenting on poetry (or literature) as biographical catharsis. I'm not a therapist, spiritual adviser or Dr. Phil.

The use of capitals throws off my reading.

I like the lines:
Within All Of My Heart And Soul Yearning
For That I'm Still In Love With My Lust

(I'd cut the 'of:' it's redundant and gums up the rhythm)

Still in love with lust, inferring love with lust has a course to run -- this is very good. It's bring to mind the classic tale of a person who only dates for three months, moving on before falling out of lust.

I'm not going to comment line by line. I think it might make a good song but I don't know anything about music.

I will comment on this: "It's pretty ironic; Loving someone when the person no longer love you back anymore..."

To me, personally, if that was the theme of the poem, you didn't sell it to me. "Now That She Had Forsaken Me" says more to me than just 'doesn't love me anymore.' Ironic might not be the correct word and 'Loving" shouldn't be capitalized.

This is a really good one. I like the way you start out being in love then it sort of falls apart with every word. Very creative. =]

This was really great. I love how you incorporate the senses in between the stanzas. Great work.
